Treating Acne
Acne is a very troublesome issue that many teens have to deal with. If you do a little bit of research on acne you will discover that there are many different causes and triggers for acne. Research is ongoing and nothing is for certain, but a little bit of information can go a long way to help clear up acne.
The natural method involves many inexpensive over-the-counter products. Here is a list of several that are recommend. This info is use at your own risk. Always consult with your medical doctor before undertaking any new treatment method.
1. Tea Tree Oil. Make a mixture of 1 part tree tree oil to 10 parts water (you can experiment with the solution to get the right mix) and apply the solution to your acne 3 times a day. This mixture seems to do the same thing as many over the counter acne creams, except it doesn't dry the skin as much.
2. The castor oil method. Some dermatologists recommend this method. At night, heat up a medium size bowl of water and exposed your face to the steam for 10 minutes. Then apply castor oil to your acne before bed.
3. Taking supplements. Some acne research indicates that the cause of acne is a bacteria or yeast. Taking a garlic tablet and an acidopylus (sp?") supplement can help to cause the bacteria that may be causing acne.
Of course, results will vary with the natural treatments. Some people have results with the over the counter acne creams and ointments and some people have had results with the natural treatments.
The rule is, if what you are doing works to reduce or eliminate acne, then keep doing it!
